Blagojević Tomislav (Serbia)

Blagojević Tomislav - Heavenly people, 2003,

He was born in Jagodina in 1971. He has been doing painting since 2000. He resides in Jagodina, Serbia. A hypothetical primordial world or a parallel world is his source of inspiration. Exotic birds, fish and creatures are schematically given in the network of linear nervure. The sense of rhythm, reduction of forms and metaphor are expressed by reduced colouring where, in addition to golden and silver, intensive pigments of red, green, yellow and blue are predominant. An unexpected floral network, by which he unconsciously tranquilizes all acute angles within the composition, reveals the artist’s lyricism. His cheerful spirit and pronounced rhythm of elements within the composition are a reminiscence of his childhood. He most often uses combined technique. He is also devoted to sculpture when the selected stone from the nature suggests the figure and forms, and then he paints it in bright and transparent colours.
