Marković Jelena

Marković Jelena (Serbia)

She was born in Kraljevo in 1971. She began doing painting in 2004.
Her drawings done in felt pen on paper are the landscapes of her intimate confessions, expressed in spontaneous linear structure of condensed, stylised intertwine of geometric-floral ornaments, and the hidden symbols of the artist’s authentic inner world. The forms stylised until the ornamental, outlined with linear network of silver and golden nuances in the black background are connected and integrated into a dynamic pictorial solution as prevailing artistic elements, while their associative dimension becomes less important.
