Nikolić Životin (Serbia)

  He was born in 1953 in Vranovac near Jagodina. He began doing painting in 1968. The authenticity of oeuvre of Životin Nikolić is emphasised by compositional and pictorial harmony and technical treatment. He conjures up directly experienced image of village life by using multitude of ornamental symbols of stylised flora, fauna, human figures, and even scripts in vertical and horizontal lines.
