Petelinšek Frančiška (Croatia)

1905-1992

  She was born in Pongrac near Celje in 1905. She began doing sculpture in 1962. Frančiška Petelinšek shaped the world of imaginary figures in wood in order to express certain human characteristics, by using ordinary kitchen knife. She achieved her expression by coloring and lacquering certain parts of the presentation.
