Puja Florika

Puja Florika (Serbia)

1920–1995

She was born in Uzdin in 1920. She began doing painting in 1962.
With her talent and phantasm she enriched Uzdin painting “pattern”. Her most often motifs were cocks and scenes of everyday village life, framed with branchy tree crowns. Puja placed both motifs, painted in bright Romanian colours onto black or dark brown background, thus achieving nearly mystic composition of the painting.
