Živanović Slobodan (Serbia)

  Živanović Slobodan - Morning Pasture

He was born in Gornji Račnik near Jagodina in 1943.
He resides in Jagodina. He began doing painting in 1968. His forms are related to expressive and linear sensibility and accidental effects of coloured blots. While painting in various techniques, he shows his delicate, inborn sense of rhythm and unity of form and contents. With his restless and heuristic intellect he is always in search of a perfect formula which will be best incorporated in his idea of heavenly, sublime, somnambulistic and mythological. The metaphors of figures mainly represent heroes or victims, like mythological beings with loads of messages from the parallel world of the artist’s pilgrimage. He belongs to the group of artists of the so-called new invention, similar in originality of their pictorial expression, characteristic for the skill of technical approach, which is certainly not predominant over the artistic, but conceptually offers considerable motivation and upgrading.
